Report: Major Change To WWE Money In The Bank Involving Charlotte Flair Pitched

Charlotte Flair Could Still Appear At WWE Money In The Bank 2023

Charlotte Flair might have been unsuccessful in defeating Asuka for the WWE Women’s Championship on SmackDown, but her time in the UK may still yield some success.

PWInsider Elite are reporting that the 15-time world champion could make an appearance in the Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match taking place tonight.

"We are told there was a pitch making the rounds today that would see Charlotte Flair replace Zelina Vega in Money in the Bank Ladder Match, but no word whether that's moving forward," they say, before going on to note that, "There was nothing filmed at today's Smackdown taping in that regard."

Whilst this does seem a little random, WWE has prior when it comes to just inserting people into Money in the Bank last minute. Brock Lesnar replaced Sami Zayn out of the blue in 2019 and in 2022 Austin Theory was announced as an entrant just as the match was about to start.

Both men would go on to win their respective briefcases.
