Report: Marty Scurll "Technically On Hiatus" From ROH

Delirious is in sole control of creative once again...

During the #SpeakingOut movement, Twitter user @mystickttn (account has since been deleted) accused Ring Of Honor Joint Head Booker Marty Scurll of sexually assaulting her in January 2015. At the time of the alleged incident she was 16, Scurll was 26.

Following the allegations, Scurll issued two statements in which he claimed they had a "brief consensual sexual encounter" and that he "did not become aware of her age until after the encounter." Scurll's accuser has disputed that he did not know how old she was.

Ring Of Honor launched an investigation into the allegations against Scurll and other members of the roster on June 25.

Dave Meltzer recently reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the former IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion is "technically on hiatus" from ROH while human resources investigate the claims against him.

This means Scurll has been removed as joint head booker of the promotion and Delirious is back in sole control of creative. ROH announced earlier this week they will be resuming TV tapings later this month and Delirious has been "the creative force" behind formatting, producing and organising "Ring Of Honor Wrestling" since the investigation began.
