Report: Matt Riddle Given Green-Light By WWE NXT To Continue Calling Out Brock Lesnar

The King Of Bros is going to keep doing what he's doing...

During Royal Rumble weekend, NXT star Matt Riddle and WWE Champion Brock Lesnar had a verbal altercation backstage. The Beast Incarnate confronted Riddle for calling him out on social media and told him they would never work together. The King Of Bros tried to calmly speak to Brock, but Lesnar walked away.

Following the incident, Mike Johnson at PWInsider reported that NXT talent were told during a media class at the Performance Center not to call out Raw or SmackDown Superstars without their knowledge.

This new policy has seemingly not been extended to Riddle, however. After The BroserWeights & #DIY defeated The Undisputed ERA at a house show in Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday, Riddle cut a promo in which he again claimed he would retire Brock Lesnar at some point in the next 12 years as he had no plans to go away.

Dave Meltzer then reported on Wrestling Observer Online that Riddle has been given the green-light by NXT to continue calling out Lesnar to follow up on their backstage altercation.

For the avoidance of doubt, Meltzer penned: "Matt Riddle did a post-match promo after the NXT Las Vegas house show main event last night and talked about how he was fired by Dana White (they were at The Pearl, a building UFC often runs), how some people don't like him, and that he would be the guy who retires Brock Lesnar. From what I'm told, NXT has given him permission to follow up on the Lesnar stuff."
