Report: Mercedes Moné Extends NJPW/Stardom Contract

Mercedes Moné is sticking around in NJPW and Stardom after reported contract extension

After rumours have been swirling when it comes to Mercedes Moné’s status with Bushiroad promotions, it seems like questions have finally been answered about her status and future in NJPW/Stardom.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, the former IWGP Women’s Champion Mercedes Moné has agreed to a contract extension, keeping her with the likes of NJPW and Stardom for a little while longer. After rumours of her contract expiring after the Stardom All Star Grand Queendom event, Moné spoke out and said that this wasn’t the case, possibly alluding to this news that was yet to break.

Moné made her debut in NJPW by winning the IWGP Women’s Championship from Kairi at the Battle In The Valley event, before going on to face the likes of AZM, Hazuki, and Mayu Iwatani with the title on the line. It looks as though Moné is set to have some more dream matches in the likes of Stardom and NJPW going forwards. It hasn’t been made clear exactly how long the extension to her contract is.
