Report: Mercedes Moné Has No More Dates For NJPW/Stardom

Mercedes Moné Could Already Be Done With NJPW And Stardom

Mercedes Moné is the current reigning and defending IWGP Women’s World Champion, though her future in the two Bushiroad promotions, NJPW and Stardom, is up in the air right now per a recent report.

The champion is currently scheduled for two upcoming matches, one against AZM and another reportedly against Mayu Iwatani at NJPW’s Sakura Genesis show on April 8 and at a Stardom event on April 23 respectively. However, following these two events, her time in NJPW and Stardom could already be over.

According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Moné isn’t scheduled for any more appearances after these two, unless some sort of contract or more dates are agreed upon before that point. There may very well be some sort of handshake agreement in place, but that would be pure speculation at this stage. The future of Moné is a big talking point right now, with the likes of AEW and even WWE being potential destinations for her in the near future.
