Maxwell Jacob Friedman seemingly won't be taking time off from All Elite Wrestling after all.

Following MJF's AEW World Title loss to Darby Allin at Dynamite Spring BreakThru, it was reported by BJ Bethel of SEScoops that MJF was expected to be immediately filming at least one movie, and MJF's name had been on the schedule and call sheets for months.

Wade Keller of PWTorch reported soon after, however, on their Dynamite post-show that MJF was not taking time off to film a movie and he was scheduled for upcoming AEW events.

"I just texted somebody in AEW who is privy to the schedule coming up and MJF's not filming a movie. Like he's not going to be on set. He's scheduled for shows, he's booked for everything," Keller said.

Self Made has also reported that MJF is not expected to miss any time and he is not filming a movie at the moment. Instead, Friedman is scheduled for upcoming episodes of Dynamite and he is factored into plans for the main event of AEW Double or Nothing on Sunday, May 24.

MJF's loss to Darby Allin played into their long history with each other. A centre point of their two previous pay-per-view matches saw Friedman defeat Darby with a headlock takeover, and Allin returned the favour at Spring BreakThru to capture the AEW World Championship following a low blow, scorpion death drop, and four coffin drops.
