Report: More Details On Latest WWE NXT COVID-19 Outbreak

Several matches on this week's NXT are in doubt

A report from Fightful Select noted yesterday that another COVID-19 outbreak within WWE NXT was feared and several matches on this week's show had been scrapped.

Fear of another outbreak emerged on March 11 following an event that many WWE Performance Center trainees were required to attend. Talent on the black and gold brand were later told to quarantine.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider has since reported there have been "quite a few" positive COVID-19 tests over the past several days. The outbreak is believed to have originated from maskless NXT talent and Performance Center trainees helping build and move rings.

Dave Meltzer also noted NXT talents who weren't at Thursday's event have tested positive for coronavirus as well.

LA Knight's in-ring debut, Isaiah "Swerve" Scott vs. Leon Ruff, Dexter Lumis vs. Austin Theory and an appearance from Jordan Devlin were scheduled for this week's NXT. Which matches will still take place is currently unknown, but the Lumis-Theory bout is the only contest still being advertised on WWE.com.
