Report: Most People In AEW Don't Know Why Britt Baker Isn't Being Used

Most people in All Elite Wrestling don't know why Britt Baker isn't currently being booked for AEW TV. Regardless, she still has "quite a while" left on her AEW deal.

That is according to Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Radio, who provided the following update on Britt Baker's AEW status:

"If you talk to a lot of people in AEW, obviously Britt Baker is polarising. There are people who don't like Britt. The idea that nobody in the locker room likes Britt is absolutely not true, I talked to a lot of people today. At the end of the day, she's not being used right now and most people don't know why. And ultimately it's Tony's decision whether she is going to be used or not, and nobody I talked to, and it's a lot of people who talk to Tony, I mean nobody's said she's not coming back. It's not like she's never going to be used again. Her contract goes for quite a while, it's just she's not being used right now. And that's what the story is."

Reports in recent days have claimed that Tony Khan has become so fed up with Britt Baker that she is currently off AEW TV, with a recent minor incident being the "straw that broke the camel's back." There is reportedly frustration with Baker in the promotion and she has allegedly become increasingly difficult to work with.

Baker has not been on AEW TV since the November 13, 2024 episode of AEW Dynamite. That show saw Baker defeat Penelope Ford before she was confronted by Serena Deeb. During their confrontation, Baker repeatedly said that "nobody cares."

The former AEW Women's World Champion said in December that she was busy "filming some fun stuff."
