Report: Nash Carter Released By WWE Due To Hitler Pose

Why WWE released Nash Carter

Only days after MSK won the NXT Tag Team Titles at Stand & Deliver, Nash Carter was released by WWE on Wednesday, April 6.

Carter's release came shortly after his wife and fellow wrestler Kimber Lee accused him of domestic violence and posted a photo of Carter giving a Nazi salute while having a moustache similar to Adolf Hitler.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Carter was let go by WWE because of the Hitler photo, as opposed to the domestic violence allegations.

"This is a really weird situation because he was fired for the Hitler picture. The other allegations is not what he was fired for," said Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio.

He later added: "You have to understand Vince McMahon. Vince McMahon had allegations against him multiple times over the years. So, if he is to believe that [Carter] is innocent, then he has to presume that other people that claims are made [about] may be innocent. So he's not a guy who is gonna fire everybody the minute somebody says something. I'm not saying it's right or wrong, I'm just saying that's the situation."

There is also reportedly sympathy within NXT for Carter, particularly from NXT Women's Tag Team Champion Gigi Dolin, who is his current girlfriend.
