Report: New WWE Deal For Natalya "Getting Done"

Natalya seems close to extending her long WWE career.

WWE Superstar Natalya is thought to be close to signing a new deal with the promotion, according to part of an update from Mike Johnson of PWInsider

The report states: "For those asking about Natalya, one source described the situation as 'getting done' but we haven't confirmed she has locked in a new deal yet. We are told that there was 'some time' left."

Natalya is the longest-signed female wrestler in WWE, having begun her developmental deal in January 2007.

Although currently a Raw Superstar, she has recently been appearing on the NXT brand, notably aligning with newcomer Karmen Petrovic against the heel duo of Lola Vice and Shayna Baszler. However, the latter pair have now split up and Petrovic is dealing with an injury, leaving Natalya's future plans a little uncertain.

This latest update seems to make an extension with WWE more likely, certainly more than last month's report that Natalya was "keeping all options open."

At the time of writing, Natalya's latest match took place just last week, where she defeated Izzi Dame on NXT. Her last PLE appearance was as an entrant in this year's women's Royal Rumble match.
