Report: No Fences Mended Between CM Punk & The Elite

CM Punk and The Elite reportedly haven’t mended fences

It’s been over five months since the events of ‘Brawl Out’ but it seems no fences have been mended between CM Punk and The Elite.

Punk, The Young Bucks, and Kenny Omega - as well as former AEW producer Ace Steel - had a backstage fight in September 2022 after the All Out PPV, stemming from disparaging comments Punk made at the post-show press conference.

The status of Punk’s AEW employment has been the topic of much speculation since All Out, with some believing the former AEW World Champion could return in the coming months after being out with a triceps injury. However, a report from Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio suggests there is still work to do to fix the professional relationship of Punk and The Elite:

"A lot of damage done, there's a lot of mending of fences that needs to be done and there's been no mending of fences. At all," said Meltzer. "It's a big situation, because Punk could be back in two months, then there's a decision. That's gonna be a big story, how that goes down, or doesn't go down."
