Report: NXT To Possibly Be Featured At WWE Survivor Series

Since its only inclusion in 2019, NXT hasn't featured at WWE Survivor Series. That could change very soon...

According to a report from Better Wrestling Experience, WWE's NXT brand has a "big chance" of being featured at Survivor Series alongside Raw and SmackDown.

The developmental brand has seen the involvement of main roster stars in recent weeks, with current World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins making an appearance on last week's show, successfully defending his title against NXT Superstar Bron Breakker.

Rollins was also seen making friends with reigning NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes in the locker room - and Hayes in turn appeared on this week's Raw. There he took on Finn Balor, and although he lost the match clean, it could be argued that Hayes' inclusion on the show is an indication of NXT's growing importance once again.

The status of NXT had arguably dipped in recent years; during the heights of the Triple H-led 'Black and Gold' era, the roster seemed to be primarily a collection of the best wrestling talent from around the world, including top names from the UK, Japan, Mexico, and the North American independent scene. Since its rebrand as 'NXT 2.0', the brand has consciously reverted to its original developmental status, bringing up potential stars of the future through the Performance Center.

NXT took part in Survivor Series once before, at the 2019 edition. There it was portrayed as the 'winner' of the night, taking the victory in four of seven inter-brand matches.
