Report: Panic Within WWE NXT After Bron Breakker & Von Wagner Steel Steps Spot Goes Wrong
Bron Breakker hitting Von Wagner with the steel steps on WWE NXT didn't exactly go as planned
A WWE NXT spot went viral on Tuesday night as the show ended in unique circumstances, fading to black just as Bron Breakker was about to cave in Von Wagner's skull with a steel steps shot while Wagner was draped across another set of steps.
Breakker ultimately connected with the move for the live audience and a WWE digital exclusive later showed a bloody Von Wagner being stretchered out of the WWE Performance Center before he was transported to a local hospital.
The spot didn't exactly go to plan, though. Several fans in attendance at NXT noted to Bodyslam.net that the steel steps made direct contact with the back of Von Wagner's head and neck which caused medical personnel and backstage agents to appear "exceptionally worried". Wagner was busted open from the spot and a source who works behind the scenes at NXT mentioned aspects of the viral moment "went wrong" and there was "general panic" after Breakker hit Wagner "in the head accidentally."
NXT fading to black was always a part of the original plan for the end of Tuesday night's show. The spot came following the match between Breakker and Wagner. Breakker ultimately emerged victorious following a Spear.
