SPOILER: Match Set For AEW Grand Slam On Rampage

A match will be set for Grand Slam on AEW Rampage

All Elite Wrestling will return to New York City's Arthur Ashe Stadium on Wednesday, September 20 and a match for the show will be made official on Friday night's edition of Rampage.

Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara reformed Le Sex Gods on Dynamite to take on Aussie Open. Issues soon arose between the two friends after Jericho knocked Guevara off the apron during the closing stretch of the match. Le Sex Gods were still able to win the match after Jericho caught Kyle Fletcher with the Judas Effect but Guevara was unhappy post-match after Jericho tried to raise his hand. This caused a shoving match to break out between Jericho and Guevara and the two friends had to be separated by security.

The issues between Guevara and Jericho will continue on Rampage as Guevara came out and confronted Jericho at the announce table during Wednesday's taping. Jericho then suggested that he and Guevara have a singles match to get the animosity out of their system so they can refocus on their pursuit of the AEW World Tag Team Titles. They agreed to have the singles match that will take place at Grand Slam.

September 20 will be AEW's third edition of Grand Slam from Arthur Ashe Stadium. The 2021 edition of the show had been AEW's record attendance until the All In pay-per-view from Wembley Stadium on August 27, 2023.
