Report: Quincy Elliott 'Caused All Kinds Of Issues' Within WWE

More on Quincy Elliott's WWE release

Quincy Elliott was reportedly "trouble" behind the scenes in WWE.

Sean Ross Sapp reported during a Fightful Select livestream: "Quincy Elliott was trouble. Quincy Elliott caused all kinds of issues for the staff in WWE. It was somebody that was always going to be up next on the chopping block. No other way to put it. Quincy Elliott was gonna get cut."

Elliott was released by WWE on September 21 as part of major cuts to the main roster and NXT. Over 20 talents have been let go, including the likes of Dolph Ziggler, Elias, Emma, Riddick Moss, and Mustafa Ali. The releases have been held following the completion of the merger between WWE and UFC on September 12.

WWE talent reportedly believe the cuts were carried out to coincide with announcements for SmackDown's media rights deal and Elimination Chamber as TKO Group Holdings' stock price began to tumble on Thursday.

Quincy Elliott initially surfaced on NXT TV as part of Level Up in March 2022 before he headed to Tuesday nights later in the year. He hadn't wrestled at all since August 2023.
