Quincy Elliott is the latest talent to be released by WWE.

Elliott announced he was no longer a part of WWE on Instagram, writing: "No longer with WWE. Let the celebration begin."

Elliott is the first WWE NXT talent to be released today. Nine main roster talents had been let go today already, including Dolph Ziggler, Elias, Mustafa Ali, Shelton Benjamin, Top Dolla, Riddick Moss, Emma, Aliyah, and Rick Boogs. Releases have taken place following the merger between WWE and UFC that formed TKO Group Holdings. The merger was completed on Tuesday, September 12.

After performing as Congo Crush on the independents, Quincy Elliott made his first appearance on WWE NXT TV in March 2022. He hadn't wrestled on Tuesday nights since March 2023 and had only been booked on NXT Level Up and at live events in recent months. Elliot hadn't wrestled at all since August when he went to a no contest with Ikemen Jiro at a house show.

The WWE releases have been carried out on the same day that WWE announced a new five-year deal with NBCUniversal to bring Friday Night SmackDown to the USA Network. The new deal is reportedly worth $1.4 billion.
