Report: Randy Orton Wants To Feud With WWE NXT's Top Stars

Earlier this month, a surprising Twitter spat developed as Randy Orton and Tommaso Ciampa traded shots on the social media platform. 

The spat started after The Viper made a joke about NXT Superstars slapping their legs while hitting Superkicks at NXT TakeOver: In Your House. The Blackheart took exception to this and called out Orton for being boring inside the ring. The retort didn't faze Randy, however, who told Ciampa the black and gold brand is a glorified wrestling school. 

Reports after the incident noted WWE wasn't planning to have the two Superstars feud, but Louis Dangoor at WrestleTalk revealed Orton has been campaigning backstage to have a match with Ciampa. 

This reportedly isn't the only NXT star the 13-time world champion wants to work with as Randy has also mentioned Adam Cole and other Superstars as possible opponents. 

Whether Vince McMahon decides to sanction any feuds remains to be seen, but Dangoor noted the rivalries could take place on both Monday Night Raw and NXT as the boss remains unhappy with the black and gold brand's ratings.
