Report: This Week's Episode Of IMPACT! Almost Didn't Air

On Monday night, IMPACT Wrestling announced Joey Ryan and Dave Crist had been fired, while Michael Elgin was suspended until further notice. 

IMPACT wrote: "IMPACT Wrestling confirms that it has terminated its contracts with Dave Crist and Joey Ryan, effective immediately. In addition, it has suspended Michael Elgin pending further review of allegations of misconduct."

The announcement came after numerous allegations of abuse involving the three wrestlers emerged through #SpeakingOut.

Cancel Culture vs. Crazzy Steve and two mystery partners was set to open this week's episode of IMPACT! and the promotion scrambled to reassemble the show before Tuesday night. Mike Johnson at PWInsider reported it went right down to the wire and IMPACT only managed to deliver the episode to AXS TV with 30 minutes to spare. 

Johnson also noted IMPACT had to use footage designated for future weeks to ensure Tuesday's edition was two hours long. This could cause problems in the build-up to Slammiversary 2020, but the promotion felt it was more important to deliver a full episode this week because of the circumstances.
