Report: 'Real Big' Matches Being Discussed For AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door II

Major plans for AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door!

The second edition of All Elite Wrestling and New Japan Pro-Wrestling's joint Forbidden Door pay-per-view looks set to sell out by the end of the week.

The show will emanate from the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on June 25. A pre-sale for the show began yesterday and almost all of the tickets available sold out, although some seats were kept behind for the general sale that begins on Friday, March 24.

No matches have been announced or even hinted at for Forbidden Door but AEW and NJPW seemingly have major plans for the event. Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported that he has heard about possible matches on the show that are "real big."

"I've heard certain matches that they're possibilities or probabilities or whatever that are real big, but we'll see. Real big," Meltzer said.

According to recent reports, it was hoped that a rematch between Kenny Omega and Will Ospreay would take place at Forbidden Door II. That match is currently up in the air after Ospreay suffered a shoulder injury during the New Japan Cup.

Even with that match not on the card, Forbidden Door remains an event that could be filled with dream matches.
