Ahead of this week's edition of Dynamite, Diamond Dallas Page and former IMPACT Wrestling star Austin Aries were spotted arriving at the State Farm Arena together. Aries later confirmed he was indeed at the venue, writing on

Instagram

: "It's a little dark, but I'm feeling dynamite."

Many wondered why the pair were at All Elite Wrestling together and wondered if Aries was set to be the next free agent signed by the young promotion. This is not the case, however, as

Cassidy Haynes at BodySlam.net

revealed both Page and Aries are currently part of a stem cell treatment venture and were backstage to pitch the project to AEW in the hope they would invest in it.

Haynes wrote: "While speaking to sources about Austin Aries visit last night with DDP backstage at Dynamite, I was told that the reason he was there was that the two are both part of a stem cell treatment venture that they are trying to get AEW to buy into."

Stem cell treatment in Colombia has become more common in recent years

amongst professional wrestlers looking to prolong or revive their careers. Rob Van Dam, Edge and Sheamus have each used it in the past, with The Rated-R Superstar using it ahead of his return at the Royal Rumble. The only wrestler who it did not work for was Kurt Angle because of the sheer amount of damage his neck has already suffered.

Former WWE Intercontinental Champion Santino Marella

also travelled to the South American nation in the past two weeks as he is hoping to repair his neck ahead of a WWE in-ring return.
