Report: Reason Drew McIntyre Is Being Pushed On WWE Raw Revealed

The Scottish Psychopath will run riot live on BT Sport...

On the last three episodes of Monday Night Raw, WWE has started to push Drew McIntyre as a babyface. This began on the December 30 episode as he annihilated Curt Hawkins & Zack Ryder in 50 seconds in a Handicap match.

Then on January 6, The Scottish Psychopath introduced more babyface tendencies to his character. After beating down No Way Jose and his conga line, he delivered a Future Shock DDT to the Dominican dancer, followed by a kick up to his feet. McIntyre then waited in the corner and did a 3-2-1 countdown with the crowd before hitting Jose with the Claymore Kick.

The former Intercontinental champion then proved his credentials as a top star in the company, defeating both AJ Styles and Randy Orton in a Triple Threat match on this week's episode of Raw.

According to Tom Colohue at Sportskeeda, this renewed push is because of WWE's new TV deal in the UK with BT Sport, as WWE management has decided to push a British Superstar in the hope that it will increase viewership across the pond. While the company could have chosen to spotlight a different UK talent like Pete Dunne or Killian Dain, they chose the former Intercontinental champion because Paul Heyman has confidence in McIntyre to deliver on the microphone.
