Report: Reason For CM Punk-Bobby Fish Heat Revealed
Bobby Fish and CM Punk are not on good terms

Since he departed All Elite Wrestling at the end of August, Bobby Fish hasn't been quiet about CM Punk, first challenging the two-time AEW World Champion to an MMA fight before he claimed that Punk was a "c*nt" following their Dynamite match back in October 2021.
Their match is remembered for ending in strange circumstances as Fish kicked out of Punk's Go To Sleep finisher at 3.1, which is usually a spot that is reserved for bigger matches, such as Ultimate Warrior vs. Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania VI.
Fish's kick-out is ultimately the reason for heat between him and Punk, according to Fightful Select, and many people within AEW said that was the catalyst for their poor relations. Several who were backstage at the time recalled being confused about why Fish kicked out at 3.1 as they knew it wouldn't go down well. A veteran within the company even noted that Punk sold for Fish before he made the cover after the Go To Sleep.
Following the match, Punk and Fish did not communicate much.
In an interview with Wrestling Headlines, Fish has claimed that he kicked out at 3.1 because he thought Punk was changing the finish.
"Regarding the confusion, at the end of our match, was the fact that he did what's called the office or an iggy. This is some inside baseball stuff here. But he did that before the three count was over. And so now having been in the business for a long time, I recognise what that is, and having done it myself to somebody to say, in our own way, whatever, you know, 'Good match.' He did it before the three count was over. So that's also a way to alert your opponent that, 'Hey let's change something,'" Fish said.
