A rising star in New Japan Pro-Wrestling is reportedly receiving interest from several major wrestling promotions.
Per a report from Fightful Select, current IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Champion Kevin Knight is the subject of discussion in several American promotions, with the NJPW star’s contract set to expire in early January 2025.
NJPW are interested in retaining Knight’s services, with contract negotiations between the two sides expected to start shortly. NJPW contracts traditionally begin and end in January.
Knight is in action in the Tokyo Dome on January 4, with Knight and Intergalactic Jet Setters partner KUSHIDA set to defend their titles at Wrestle Kingdom 19 in a four-way ‘Tokyo Terror’ ladder match against Ichiban Sweet Boys (Robbie Eagles and Kosei Fujita), Catch 2/2 (TJP and Francesco Akira), and the Bullet Club War Dogs team of Clark Connors and Drilla Moloney.
Outside of NJPW, Knight has wrestled on several occasions for the revamped TNA Wrestling in 2024, with both TNA and NJPW full of praise for the 27-year-old. Knight has been with NJPW since 2020, learning under Katsuyori Shibata at the NJPW LA Dojo.
