Report: Rumour Killer On Bobby Fish Trying To Convince Adam Cole & Kyle O'Reilly To Return To WWE

Bobby Fish reportedly hasn't spoken to WWE

The new WWE regime has reportedly reached out to multiple talents in All Elite Wrestling over the last couple of months to see if they would be interested in returning to the organisation. Reports noted the likes of FTR, Swerve Strickland, Malakai Black, and an AEW talent who had been there since the beginning had been contacted.

At least two talents reportedly asked for their releases from AEW after WWE approached them and a report from Ryan Frederick on the Wrestling Observer Board claimed Bobby Fish tried to convince Adam Cole and Kyle O'Reilly to request their releases and return to WWE.

"I posted it in the Bobby Fish thread but I know Fish was trying to get them to Cole and Kyle to ask for their releases to go back to WWE and they both told him no. It's possible Cole may have clued Tony in. If he did, I doubt he was the only one. I'm sure Swerve was one of them who did so," Frederick penned.

That claim has seemingly been quashed, though, and Fightful Select reported that Fish asking Cole and O'Reilly to leave AEW was "vehemently denied by numerous AEW sources, and WWE sources have stated that there haven't been talks between Bobby Fish and the company."

Bobby Fish had previously been under contract with AEW but he departed the promotion when his deal expired at the end of August. He has since debuted in IMPACT Wrestling.
