Report: Santana & Ortiz Still Not On Good Terms

Santana & Ortiz reportedly still not on good terms

With the belief that Santana is nearing a return to in-ring action after spending the past 12 months on the shelf with an ACL injury, fans have started speculating that Proud & Powerful could be set to return to AEW’s tag scene.

Rumours and fantasy booking on social media suggest that the team of Santana and Ortiz could be two of the mystery members for the Blackpool Combat Club team in All In’s Stadium Stampede match. A new report from Fightful Select suggests that the team are still not on speaking terms, with tensions between the two believed to have existed for well over a year.

Whilst they may not be getting on privately, the report does mention that there is still the possibility that they can still work together, and that a tag run is apparently not out of the question.

Whilst Santana has been out injured since Blood & Guts II in June 2022, Ortiz has been used sparingly for most of 2023, with his last televised AEW match coming in March of this year. The report adds that Ortiz has been pulled from an upcoming indie appearance this coming weekend due to an ‘AEW-related obligation’ adding further fuel to the fire that he could be involved with All In on August 27.
