Real Reason Lacey Evans Left WWE Revealed

Lacey Evans reveals why she exited WWE

After seven years with WWE, Lacey Evans exited the company last week following the expiry of her contract at midnight on Tuesday, August 15. Evans has since been moved to the alumni section of the roster on WWE.com.

It emerged following Evans' exit that the former Sassy Southern Belle was planning to open a café and Evans has since revealed to The Island News that she exited WWE to focus on helping her community normalise mental health issues and provide support for those suffering from addiction issues.

"I thought I could be of more assistance fighting a different fight than in the WWE ring. I want to focus on helping my community to fight against addiction and fight on the mental health side to normalise mental health issues," Evans said.

Evans also noted the constant travelling that is the norm for a main roster WWE talent made it harder for her to spend time at home with her family.

Real name Macey Estrella, Evans' Sunny Summers Café will open on Monday in Lady's Island, South Carolina. Estrella is hoping the café will be used by community organisations like Alcoholics Anonymous and she wants to host seminars and classes aimed at women and military spouses.
