The Sandman Shoots Down Possibility Of An AEW Cameo

The Sandman cameoing in AEW is seemingly not on the cards

With FTW Champion Jack Perry’s recent campaign of disrespect against Extreme Championship Wrestling, we’ve seen several faces from the legendary hardcore federation step up to Perry in All Elite Wrestling.

Rob Van Dam, Jerry Lynn, and original FTW Champion Taz have all been less than impressed with Perry’s conduct, but it seems like The Sandman won’t be popping into an AEW ring to give the former Jungle Boy a caning for his own good.

The multi-time ECW World Champion did a recent virtual signing with K&S WrestleFest when the possibility of him turning up in an AEW ring came up:

"I've never talked to anybody in AEW, just so you know," Sandman said. "Then again, I don't even know if they'd have my phone number. I'm so far out of the business. It's crazy."

ECW icon Sabu turned up in AEW earlier this year, whilst former ECW World Champion Raven has made AEW cameos in the past. Other ECW alums in AEW include former Television champions Dean Malenko and Chris Jericho, whilst AEW President Tony Khan is a known ECW fanatic, having attended several ECW shows as a child.
