Report: Saudi Arabia To Host 2026 Royal Rumble Event
WWE is taking the Royal Rumble to Saudi Arabia
Jan 4, 2025
WWE’s deal with Saudi Arabia is set to bring the country its biggest show to date, as the 2026 Royal Rumble premium live event is slated to be hosted by the capital city of Riyadh.
PWInsider have reported that an announcement is imminent in regards to next year’s Royal Rumble PLE heading over to Saudi Arabia, with Monday Night RAW’s debut on Netflix believed to be the time and place for this major piece of news. Both PWInsider and Fightful Select have had this confirmed to them by multiple sources within WWE.
This will mark a historic change in WWE’s current deal with Saudi Arabia, which has never seen one of the ‘big four’ PLEs held in the country, with only shows such as Crown Jewel, Super ShowDown, King & Queen Of The Ring, and Elimination Chamber taking place there previously. It will also be the very first Royal Rumble event since the inaugural one in Ontario, Canada to take place outside of the US.
WWE previously held the ‘Greatest Royal Rumble’ event in Saudi Arabia, a show that kicked off WWE’s two-show-per-year deal that runs through 2028. Following WWE's most recent trip to Saudi Arabia, Triple H noted that the deal was 'here to stay'.
