Santana Garrett was released by WWE last week, months after she had been called up to the main roster.

According to Fightful Select, several plans were pitched for The Midwest Sweetheart but they ended up being nixed before she could make her main roster debut. One of those plans was for a trio with Chelsea Green and Vanessa Borne which The Hot Mess previously revealed would have been a "Pussycat Dolls meets Charlie's Angels" faction.

Garrett's release was also not a surprise to many within WWE primarily because the company never used her following her call up. She had not been backstage much in recent months and Fightful had not heard of any firm creative plans for Garrett, although this does not mean they didn't exist.

Garrett signed with WWE back in August 2019 and she made a handful of appearances on NXT and Raw before she disappeared from TV after The Great American Bash in July 2020. She then made one final appearance in the Women's Royal Rumble earlier this year, but she didn't resurface again before her release.
