Report: Some In WWE Expect Shane McMahon To Eventually Return

Will Shane O-Mac be back?

Shane McMahon had been a part of WWE since his return in 2016 but that seemingly came to an end on Wednesday as it emerged The Boy Wonder was "out of the company." It isn't known if his talent deal was terminated, though, only that all of his upcoming plans were scrapped.

McMahon's departure comes after Shane produced the Men's Royal Rumble and garnered a lot of heat backstage, particularly due to his confrontational attitude and all of the changes to the Rumble. It was also noted the Royal Rumble was the last straw of bubbling issues between Shane and his father Vince McMahon.

While he may be gone from WWE for now, some expect Shane to eventually in some form in the future, according to Mike Johnson of PWInsider. Those that think this, however, also believe Shane is taking "the brunt of the heat" for the negative reception to the Men's Royal Rumble.

While he is finished with WWE for at least the time being, McMahon will remain busy due to his role as Executive Chairman of Ideanomics, an Electric vehicle organisation.
