Report: Steve Austin In "Fantastic Shape" Ahead Of WWE WrestleMania 38

A fit Steve Austin ahead of WWE WrestleMania 38

With WrestleMania 38 emanating from his home state of Texas, 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin will appear inside a WWE ring for the first time in two years when he is the guest on the KO Show on WrestleMania Saturday.

Austin's appearance comes after Owens had repeatedly insulted Texas on Monday Night Raw and The Texas Rattlesnake announced he was ready for a fight while accepting KO's invitation to appear on the show.

Speaking on Sunday Night's Main Event, Dave Meltzer noted the KO Show segment will be more than "just a kick in the gut and stunner" and that Austin is currently in "fantastic shape."

"He's training very hard so it's gonna be more than that. Will he do a 20-minute match? No, I don't think so. Will he go seven minutes or something and have a brawl all over the place? I kind of expect that, yeah," Meltzer said.

WWE reportedly wanted Austin to wrestle at The Showcase Of The Immortals, competing inside the ring for the first time since 2003, but Stone Cold ultimately didn't commit to pulling on his black trunks again. That doesn't mean the KO show couldn't be used to set up a match on WrestleMania Sunday, though.
