WWE are loading up the card for tonight's Raw debut on Netflix, with major matches and some surprise appearances planned.

Fans tuning in hoping to see a cameo from Steve Austin may be disappointed, however. Because, according to Sportskeeda's Dr. Chris Featherstone, a mooted Stone Cold appearance has been scrapped.

Featherstone noted the two sides held talks but discussions "fell apart, and he can't make it." It is still possible that talks could resume but as of now Austin won't be appearing on the show.

The WWE Hall of Famer last appeared for the company at WrestleMania 38 weekend in 2022, where he came out of retirement to headline night one against Kevin Owens.

While Austin may not be at Raw tonight, he could show up at WrestleMania 41. In September, the 60-year-old noted that he would be 'happy' to appear at 'Mania if it 'makes sense'. That same month, WWE filed to trademark the phrase 'Austin 3:16'.

As to whether The Texas Rattlesnake would be able to get physical, that remains to be seen. In October, Austin revealed that he needed knee replacement surgery 'pretty quick'.
