Report: Talent Saddened By Recent AEW Exit

A sad day in AEW earlier this week

Following the expiry of her contract, it was revealed this week that Leva Bates had exited All Elite Wrestling after four years with the promotion. The former librarian only wrestled sporadically for the promotion but she was involved behind the scenes in community relations and PR, among other departments.

The news of Bates' exit has had an impact on the AEW locker room, with Dave Meltzer reporting in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that a number of people were saddened by her departure as she was 'very well liked' within All Elite Wrestling.

What Bates' future plans are have yet to be revealed but she asked friends, fans, and loved ones to stick by her as she begins the next chapter of her life.

Bates was one of the first females signed by AEW in early 2019. She was featured on TV in 2019 and 2020 as part of a romance angle with "Pretty" Peter Avalon. She had only wrestled once in 2023, teaming with Willow Nightingale and Madison Rayne in a loss to Nyla Rose, Marina Shafir, and Emi Sakura on the February 15 edition of Dark: Elevation.
