World Title Match Set For Next Week's IMPACT Wrestling
The Man Beast goes for gold next Thursday
New IMPACT World Champion Steve Maclin will have his first title defence on next Thursday's episode of IMPACT on AXS. Maclin will defend the title against former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Rhino.
On last night's show, Maclin teamed with Champagne Singh & Shera in a loss to Rhino, Heath & PCO. The Man Beast hit a Gore on Maclin on the outside of the ring, leading to the finish.
The champ confronted IMPACT President Scott D'Amore backstage after the match, with D'Amore making the match for next week.
Also scheduled for next week's show is a Knockouts World Tag Team Championship bout, as The Coven (KiLynn King & Taylor Wilde) will defend against Jordynne Grace & Deonna Purrazzo.
Purrazzo is the current Knockouts World Champion and will defend against Grace at Under Seige on May 26.
Next week's episode of IMPACT will also feature Nick Aldis' first IMPACT singles match since 2017, when he faces off with Sheldon Jean. In addition, Masha Slamovich will take on Killer Kelly and the third instalment of Frankie Kazarian's sit-down interview series will take place.
