Report: Taya Valkyrie Re-Signs With IMPACT Wrestling

She recently teased signing with WWE...

At the most recent IMPACT Wrestling tapings in Mexico City, Mexico, Taya Valkyrie lost the IMPACT Knockouts Championship to Jordynne Grace, ending her title reign after 377 days.

This fuelled speculation that Valkyrie was set to join her husband, John Morrison, in WWE. Paige and Chelsea Green have both encouraged The Queen Of The North to join them in recent times and Valkyrie herself teased she could be set to sign for WWE before Hard To Kill. During a media call, she mentioned her dream opponents in 2020 would be WWE stars Charlotte Flair, Candice LeRae and Mia Yim.

Fans will have to wait a while longer before she joins up with Morrison in WWE, however, as Mike Johnson at PWInsider reported yesterday that Valkyrie's contract with IMPACT Wrestling was automatically renewed in December. She will continue to appear in the promotion until at least December 2020.

For the avoidance of doubt, Johnson penned: "Valkyrie's Impact deal was automatically renewed in December for another year, so she is locked in until December 2020."
