Report: "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt To Be The Top Babyface On WWE SmackDown Going Forward

A big shake-up to the main event scene...

At Payback, Roman Reigns reached the top of the mountain once again and captured the Universal Championship. The Big Dog established his new heel persona during the main event as he didn't even enter the match until his two opponents had destroyed each other and the ring first. Reigns then only picked up the win after he resorted to underhanded tactics and Low Blowed "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt while he was trapped in the Mandible Claw.

With Reigns firmly established as a heel, Mike Johnson of PWInsider reported WWE plans to push Roman as the top heel on SmackDown going forward.

As Braun Strowman also recently turned heel, this leaves a gap at the top of the card on SmackDown for a new babyface. Johnson noted WWE plans to plug this hole with The Fiend and the former Universal Champion will be presented as a babyface in the coming months.

Behind The Fiend in the babyface depth chart on Friday nights is reportedly Jeff Hardy at number two and Matt Riddle at number three.
