Report: The Rock Vs. Cody Rhodes Planned For WWE WrestleMania 41

Main event of WWE WrestleMania 41 revealed

A major match, and possibly the main event, of WrestleMania 41 is already pencilled in. According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Cody Rhodes vs. The Rock is planned for WrestleMania XLI.

"That is certainly the plan right now, yes. And not for a long time, next year's WrestleMania... Probably is going to be to keep Cody as champion although that's not 100 per cent," Meltzer said.

The Rock has been full-time on WWE TV since January 2024 in a programme with Cody Rhodes that has been critically acclaimed. The singles match between the two competitors looked to be in the works after The Rock pinned Cody in their tag team match that main evented WrestleMania 40 night one.

Cody went on to defeat Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship in the main event of WrestleMania 40 night two, a match which saw The Undertaker take out The Rock in the closing stages.

The Rock interrupted Cody on the Raw after WrestleMania 40, during which Dwayne Johnson noted he would be going away for a little while but that his story with Cody had only just begun. The Rock gave Cody an undisclosed object in the closing moments of the segment, with Dwayne Johnson promising that he was coming for Rhodes and urging Cody never to break his heart again.

The date and location of WrestleMania 41 has yet to be announced, although the show is expected to take place at US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
