Report: Tommaso Ciampa Expected To Make WWE Return 'Soon'

WWE are expecting the return of Tommaso Ciampa very soon.

WWE Superstar and former NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa is set to make his return to the active roster "soon", according to PWInsider Elite

Ciampa was said to be in Albany, New York ahead of last night's Raw, although he didn't appear on the show itself. Former tag partner Johnny Gargano has recently been teasing the return of an ally of his, which has led many to speculate that Ciampa will reunite with Gargano and rest of The Way (Candice LeRae, Indi Hartwell and Dexter Lumis.)

Ciampa underwent hip surgery in October 2022. His last match came on September 17 at a live event in Bakersfield, California, where he lost a United States Championship match against then-champion Bobby Lashley.

After an eventful NXT run between 2015 and 2022 - during which he became NXT Tag Team Champion alongside Johnny Gargano, only to betray his partner and ultimately become the brand's top heel and champion - Ciampa was called up to Raw. There he was aligned with The Miz and feuded with AJ Styles.
