Report: Tony Khan Booed At AEW Dynamite
A mixed reaction for Tony Khan in Chicago
The fans inside Chicago's NOW Arena on Wednesday night for AEW Dynamite seemingly weren't the biggest fans of Tony Khan.
The AEW CEO often receives a positive reaction when he appears in front of the fans in attendance at the promotion's TV tapings but that wasn't the case for Dynamite, with PWTorch's on-site report revealing that Khan received "a mix of cheers and boos" when he made his way onto the stage. Khan also only made one appearance in front of the live crowd, while in the past he has appeared three times.
Zack Heydorn of SEScoops also noted that Tony Khan received a "God like reaction" in 2021, yet he was heckled at Dynamite.
Heydorn tweeted: "2 years ago TK was given a God like reaction in this building. It's a mixed reaction at best tonight and someone 7 seats down just yelled 'f**k you Tony.'"
All Elite Wrestling are in Chicago all week, with Collision and All Out set to air at the United Center on Saturday, September 2 and Sunday, September 3.
