Report: Top WWE Star Currently Working Injured

A top former world champion is working through an injury

The injury curse has hit the World Heavyweight Championship scene in recent months, with both former champion Seth Rollins and planned WrestleMania challenger CM Punk both suffering injuries in the lead up to the big show. Coming out of WrestleMania, Rollins is back on the shelf, undergoing surgery for a torn meniscus. It isn’t just Rollins who was banged up though, as his opponent at WrestleMania was too.

PWInsider have reported that Drew McIntyre is believed to have suffered from what is described as a “badly” hyperextended elbow during his World Heavyweight Championship clash with Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins. However, McIntyre has been working through the injury regardless, competing both on TV and at live events. McIntyre has been working WWE’s UK tour with this injury, wearing a sleeve on his left arm as a level of protection.

It hasn’t been reported whether or not McIntyre will need any time off to recover from this injury, or if he will be able to continue working though it. McIntyre’s WWE contract is set to reportedly expire in the next month or so, with no new deal agreed to as of yet.
