Royal Rumble 2024 Had A $47 Million Positive Economic Impact For St. Petersburg, Florida

The 2024 Royal Rumble brought a lot of economic positives to St. Petersburg

2024 saw WWE’s annual Royal Rumble premium live event come to St. Petersburg, Florida, touting several records being broken over that weekend. According to a report via Fox 13, the 2024 Royal Rumble earned $47,047,401 in positive economic impact for the St. Petersburg area. 

Among the statistics reported around Royal Rumble weekend in St. Petersburg, the Imagine Museum had a 25% increase in attendance the day following the Rumble, Sun Runner had a 95% increase in ridership the day of the Rumble, $60,000 was donated to several charities including Boys & Girls Club of St. Petersburg, the Pinellas Education Foundation, and more, the Ferg’s Sports Bar did seven times the business of a usual Saturday, along with several other improved businesses across the board. 

The event itself had a reported attendance of 48,044 at Tropicana Field. The card saw Cody Rhodes and Bayley win the respective men’s and women’s Royal Rumble events, Roman Reigns defending the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship in a fatal four way, and Logan Paul escaping with the United States Championship against Kevin Owens.
