Report: Triple H Was Backstage At WWE NXT

After some time in quarantine

Triple H was backstage at WWE NXT last night and was running the show once again, according to Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer.

Meltzer said on Wrestling Observer Radio: "A lot of the people who were gone last week were back this week, including Paul Levesque backstage. He was running the show this week."

The Game was absent from last week's show after going into quarantine because of a COVID-19 outbreak within the black and gold brand. Shawn Michaels and "Road Dogg" Brian James produced the show instead.

Multiple other Superstars who weren't at the Capitol Wrestling Center on March 17 also returned to the show, including Johnny Gargano. The NXT North American Champion might be wishing he stayed at home, though, after William Regal announced a Number One Contender's Gauntlet Eliminator for Gargano's North American Championship at NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver night one.

Gargano will face the winner on night two of TakeOver and he asked Regal if he was "coo-coo bananas" to only give him 24 hours notice of his opponent. Regal had little sympathy for The Way leader, though, and told him he should prepare for all of his competitors if he wants to live up to his Johnny TakeOver moniker.
