Report: Triple H Was Unhappy With Samoa Joe's WWE Release

The Game immediately wanted to bring him back

Less than two months after he departed the company, Samoa Joe has re-signed with WWE, reports have revealed. The Samoan Submission Machine will be in a non-wrestling role and he could end up being the new NXT general manager after William Regal admitted it was time for a change to close out TakeOver: In Your House.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider has also reported that Joe has re-signed with WWE and the former United States Champion will be working exclusively for NXT.

The second WWE released Joe, Triple H was said to be unhappy with the decision and wanted to bring him back to the black and gold brand. As a result, The Game "snatched" Joe "back" as soon as possible. Triple H was also the point person when Joe initially joined WWE back in 2015.

Joe has been spotted at least once at the WWE Performance Center in recent weeks but he was not taking bumps while at the training facility. The belief is that the former NXT Champion could wrestle in the future, but that isn't the goal and he will focus on his non-wrestling duties instead.

Joe hasn't wrestled since February 2020 after suffering two concussions within four weeks.
