Although we’re well on the road to WrestleMania 38, WWE reportedly have reportedly planned two main event matches for 2023’s WrestleMania 39.

Writing in The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reports that WWE are set to pull out all the stops for Mania 39, and that currently the plans are that Becky Lynch will take on Ronda Rousey, and Roman Reigns will face The Rock at ‘The Grandaddy of ‘em All’.

Of course, card is always subject to change, and with over a year until Mania 39 there’s every chance that these plans could change completely, especially as The Rock’s schedule is hectic at the best of times. Rock has been open in the past about wanting to wrestle Reigns, and seeds were subtly planted for a match between the two at Survivor Series 2021, when Vince McMahon showed ‘Cleopatra’s Egg’ to an unimpressed looking Reigns, with the egg being a gift from ‘The People’s Champ’.

With regards to Rousey, ‘The Rowdy One’ made her in-ring a return at last month’s Royal Rumble, and is set to face WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 38. Meltzer noted that Rousey is allegedly set to be a WWE regular ‘at least’ through WrestleMania 39.

Set for Inglewood, California’s SoFi Stadium, WWE are reportedly looking to push WrestleMania 39 as ‘the biggest WrestleMania ever’.
