Report: Update On AEW Revolution 2023 PPV Buys

An Update Has Been Provided On The AEW Revolution 2023 PPV Buyrate

From an in-ring perspective, it seems as though AEW’s Revolution 2023 PPV went down pretty well. From a business and financial perspective, more information has been revealed to determine the success of the event.

On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer followed up on his previous report on the Revolution buys, stating that the event will likely end up within the low-to-mid 130,000s range due to strong late buys. Meltzer had previously forecast a slightly lower amount, but it seems as though late buys have driven that number up a considerable amount.

With all that being said, the Revolution PPV buys look to be a step down from previous events, as Full Gear finished up with a buyrate of 140,000, and last year’s Revolution had upwards of 165,000 buys, though that show did have CM Punk featured, which could have been a reason for this gap in buys.

In the post-show media scrum after AEW Revolution, owner Tony Khan predicted between the 130,000 to 140,000 range, which has proven to be a pretty exact forecast when looking at the most recent update.
