Report: Update On Brock Lesnar's WWE WrestleMania 39 Plans

What’s in store for Brock Lesnar at WWE WrestleMania 39?

Brock Lesnar’s 2023 Royal Rumble tenure may have been underwhelming for ‘The Beast Incarnate’, but his brief run in the 30-man match seemingly set-up a few potential matches for WrestleMania 39.

Lesnar was only in the Rumble for three minutes, but eliminated several wrestlers, whilst also finding time to stare down GUNTHER to a big reaction, before getting eliminated by Bobby Lashley, also to a big reaction.

However, whilst the GUNTHER tease elicited a positive reaction from fans it currently isn’t in the works for WrestleMania, according to a report from Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio. Meltzer further stated that WWE officials are allegedly eyeing up a Lesnar vs. Lashley match at Mania, furthering the storyline between the two that started at the tail end of 2022.

With WrestleMania being a two-night affair, there is always the possibility that Lesnar vs. GUNTHER could take place one night, and Lesnar vs. Lashley the other, but Meltzer believes it’s more likely that Lesnar vs. GUNTHER could take place at a future event instead:

"The Gunther thing was just a tease that felt like, 'Someday, we've got this in our pocket; we could do it,'" Meltzer said. "The Lashley one felt like it was the WrestleMania match."
