Report: Update On Dakota Kai's WWE Status

Latest on Dakota Kai

An injured star is back on the road with WWE.

While it wasn't the original plan, Mike Johnson of PWInsider has reported that Dakota Kai is now back on the road full-time with WWE and she will be at every Friday Night SmackDown taping. She is unable to be involved in any angles that include physicality, though, and she isn't expected to wrestle in the near future either.

Kai has been out of action since the May 12 edition of SmackDown when she suffered a torn ACL. Kai sustained the injury while trying to protect Liv Morgan, who had suffered a torn shoulder earlier in the match.

Kai is back on the road after being brought in at the last minute for SummerSlam to celebrate IYO SKY's WWE Women's Title win at the August 5 pay-per-view. Kai was then booked for SmackDown at the last minute again only a few days later to play cheerleader for IYO SKY and Bayley.

The trios comprise the faction Damage CTRL.
