All In 2018 was a celebration of the best and brightest that independent wrestling had to offer at the time.

Masterminded by Cody Rhodes and the Young Bucks (and produced in conjunction with Ring of Honor), the event featured many major names from various promotions, including Rey Mysterio, Kazuchika Okada and Kenny Omega.

Conspicuous by his absence was Will Ospreay.

Now, five years later, the Aerial Assassin has revealed why he wasn't on the card. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Ospreay wrote:

"True story. Cody asked months after the first one 'why wasn’t you on All In'. My reply was 'you didn't ask'. Essentially they forgot to message me to be part of their history. Took long enough but finally part of All In at Wembley Stadium…And I'm not All Elite…I'm Above It".

The former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion will wrestle at AEW All In this Sunday, when he takes on Chris Jericho for the first time ever.

Over in New Japan, Ospreay recently replaced the IWGP United States Championship with the IWGP UK Title.
