Report: Update On Deonna Purrazzo Following WWE Return Speculation
Could Deonna Purrazzo return to WWE?
Since Triple H took over WWE creative, seemingly every past name from NXT has been linked with a WWE return, including that of Deonna Purrazzo.
Rumours about a return to WWE for Purrazzo increased when a mysterious hooded figure attacked Nixon Newell and Liv Morgan on SmackDown, with it later revealed to be Xia Li under the hood. A subsequent report from Fightful Select confirmed that Purrazzo is still under contract with IMPACT Wrestling, and any speculation about a WWE return is just that - speculation.
Purrazzo was released by NXT in 2020 before landing in IMPACT Wrestling, where ‘The Virtuosa’ stands as a former Knockouts, AAA Reina de Reinas and ROH World Champion. During her time in NXT, Purrazzo was barely used by the company, wrestling just 16 times on TV during a two year run.
Before NXT, Purrazzo was a stand-out on the independent scene, wrestling primarily in Ring of Honor, with Purrazzo originally set to wrestle at the infamous All In in 2018 before signing her WWE contract. Purrazzo also wrestled as part of the inaugural WWE Mae Young Classic in 2017.
