Report: Trent Seven Signed To Per-Appearance Deal In AEW
Update on Trent Seven's AEW status
Dec 19, 2022
Trent Seven hasn't received an All Elite graphic as of yet and for good reason.
According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the Artful Dodger is only signed with All Elite Wrestling on a per-appearance deal as opposed to a full-time contract.
Seven made his AEW debut on the December 9 episode of Rampage, challenging Orange Cassidy for the All-Atlantic Championship as Kip Sabian's mystery opponent for The King of Sloth Style. Seven would lose the match but he attacked Cassidy after the bout with Sabian, seemingly forming a faction with his fellow Brit as they teamed together with The Butcher and The Blade against OC, Best Friends, and Dustin Rhodes on December 16.
Seven will also seemingly have a presence in Ring of Honor as he was at ringside at Final Battle for the ROH PURE Championship match between Wheeler Yuta and Daniel Garcia.
Prior to signing with AEW, Seven had been under contract with WWE for several years as part of the company's NXT UK brand. He was released by WWE in August when the organisation shuttered NXT UK.
